"Hats"

Tonight was Eliza's kindergarten music performance, called "Hats." She has been talking about this show for months. She's been singing the songs so much at home that we all know most of the words. She's been worrying about her speaking part, trying to decide which hat to wear, praying every night that she won't be too nervous for her show. Since Mark's in Asheville, we were planning to record it for him, but when we got out of the car at the school tonight, guess who was there? Mark drove 3+ hours to be there for Liza's big performance. He even brought her a bouquet of flowers for good luck. I'm not sure whether she was more excited to see her Dad or the flowers, but the excitement coming from her face and her happy giggles as she ran and hugged Mark were awesome. Good job, Daddy.

This is my favorite video clip from the show:

  2. That was so sweet of Mark. I'm sure that meant the world to her. She was cute moving and shaking and waving at the camera too :) How fun!
